"People", the latest offering from Mancunian quartet Cleargreen, combines shimmering guitar tones and subtle pop sensibilities to create a tune that is nothing short of massive, something that the band have consistently proved they are capable of doing. Clear-cut vocals float atop the instrumentation, building in power for the delivery of contagiously catchy hooks within the chorus. An instrumental bridge and driving guitar solo dominate the final third of the track, bringing the tune to an abrupt but electrifying conclusion. Producing anthemic indie rock gems is fast becoming a signature for the band, and "People" is no exception to that - oozing with upbeat energy and accomplished musicianship, the track is a perfect example of why the Manchester music scene is still as brilliant as ever.
