With classy, crystal clear production and accomplished songwriting, "Pray" is the latest beautifully soulful release from Miranda Lopez. Laced with pulsing synths and electronic percussion, the track keeps instrumentation relatively stripped back throughout the verses, before building to a rich, layered chorus, delivered with a catchy, memorable vocal melody. Lopez's emotive vocals dance effortlessly over the instrumentation, infusing every note with passion and technical proficiency.
Much like Lopez's previous release "Lose Myself", "Pray" continues to highlight the artist's seasoned songwriting skills. Whilst the track is essentially a pop song, soul and RnB elements gracefully come into play to give the single a unique and captivating edge. The track is a perfect example of Lopez's talents, and there is no doubt that we will see more of this quality from this promising singer-songwriter.
"Pray" is released 28th May. Words by Alex Vickers
