The 501's new single 'High In Hollywood' is quintessential rock at it's finest, and is a huge crowd pleasing anthem made for summer. The track sticks to the philosophies that have brought the Welsh 4-piece success thus far, with the relative simplicity of punchy drums, over-driven guitars and bass providing the perfect platform for Shane Grist's classic rock vocals. The swing-beat drives the song and gives it an upbeat feel throughout, from the verses to the huge, catchy choruses. It would not, of course, be complete without a couple of soaring guitar solos. The outro sees repeated chorus lines, which ensures the crowd will have a great opportunity to sing along when hearing it live. The production is clear, crisp and powerful, allowing the quality of the songwriting to shine through.

The music is accompanied by a perfectly shot video, with cuts of the band performing the song with energy and verve, intertwined with scenes of a girl dancing enthusiastically It's the kind of song that would be heard best on a sun-drenched road trip, or at an outdoor festival, but is of course great enough to hold it's own in any scenario. It's testament to the talent of The 501's, and is another leap towards the eventual achievements they deserve.
